1970 – First YWCA Greenwich Dolphins Swim Team – it was made up of about 40 girls. In 1977 Nick Cavatero became the head coach (42 years ago) During the 1979-80 season he approached the aquatics director, Wendy Blumenthal, about a co-ed team. They began to recruit boys who were brothers of the girls already on the team.
