1989 – Racial Justice Committee established the New Perspectives, a community dialogue program. The program was underwritten by proceeds from the annual Race Against Racism (now Stand Against Racism). A $5.00 minimum contribution was requested to join a march. New Perspectives organized study circles for people to discuss racism and other subjects pertinent to diversity.
